A pygmy blue whale swims in the warm waters off the coast of Sri Lanka. The whales migrate off the southern coast of Sri Lanka every years from the horn of Africa to the Bay of Bengal, in the Indian ocean. The pygmy blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus brevicauda) is a subspecies of the blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) found in the Indian Ocean and the southern Pacific Ocean.
