Sumatran Elephant001.jpg
Sumatran Elephant is a sub-species of Asian elephant, found exclusively in Sumatra.
Listed as critically endangered by IUCN, the population is decreasing over 80% over the last three generations. Habitat loss and poaching are the main threats.
As a keystone species, elephants have a critical role on the ecosystem. The absence of elephants will definitely change the balance of the ecosystem.
