For the first time in China's history, dogs and cats may be off the menu according to a new draft in animal rights legislation. The draft proposed by mainland avocates, 27 Janaury 2010 is suggesting that eating dogs and cats would become a criminal offence carrying a maximum fine of 5,000 Yuan ( HK$5,700) or 15 days detention, Guangzhou, China.
